How it started
From a backyard in Groningen.
In 2024, the three of us — friends from Groningen — got hooked on going to the sauna. That first moment the heat fills your lungs, your shoulders drop, and your head goes completely quiet: that's what you do it for.
But driving to the spa every time, an hour each way, just to burn through a 90-minute time slot? That made no sense. And a fixed sauna in the garden means a renovation, a building permit, and a price tag in the thousands of euros.
The in-between options we found online (sauna tents imported from abroad) fell apart after one season. That had to be fixable. We dove into the construction, had prototypes made, tested them through Groningen autumn storms, and only once we ourselves were satisfied did it go on sale. That's MOOSSE.

From the north
Why Groningen?
Because we live here. Our own stock, office space and customer service are all based in the city. No warehouse somewhere in Poland, no customer service in a different time zone. Message us on a Tuesday evening, and someone will have packed a MOOSSE that same afternoon.
Plus: Groningen's autumn is about the ideal testing ground. If a sauna survives four seasons here (wind off the sea, rain, frost, and everything in between), it'll hold up anywhere.
